The Command and Conquer series always use to have great single-player campaigns till Command and Conquer: Generals got released. It was focused on multiplayer and many people liked it but not many "diehard cnc fans".
There was a poll for BfME 2 before release iirc. EA wanted to know how many people play single-player or multiplayer when they get their hands on the game. And around 70% voted for singleplayer.

Right now EA has shown us some stuff of CnC 3. And EA wants to make this game a very good singleplayer and a great multiplayer. What's more important to you? What do you play first when you get the game? Campaign, Skirmish or Online Multiplayer?

I mostly play 1-2 skirmishes and then go right to multiplayer, singleplayer never got me VERY excited in RTS games. Which means multiplayer is a lot more important to me though I ofcourse would love to have a singleplayer which interests me because a good singleplayer is what makes the game huge in the end.

lol oh man I'm like the opposite! The first thing I do is start the campaign, thats the story, thats the whole reason why I get the game. I love skirmish as well and since I used to be on 56k modem I didnt do much multiplayer but now its 75% single player and 25% multiplayer. I'm getting more into online play but I still get creamed usually. I just hate it when someone makes a bunch of a one unit and storms you or rushers really. I like to have a nice drawn out war ya know. I love single player campaigns. I'm into cutseens, character development, the story and plot.:respect: As long as the game has a great campagin and lets you play it for a long time with skirmish, I'll be happy. My family would get together on the holidays and our cousins and Uncle would lan our pcs with their laptops and all we would play was command and conquer games. We also got into starcraft too lol.

Hah nice :). The story is something very important but the gameplay is more important to me. I think CnC 3 will have a great campaign :).

I usually go through the campaigns to see the storyline and make use of the special missions, but after that I do the AI skrmishes. Mostly because I'm a great modder but terrible online player.

I usually get wiped by veterans players. I'm not above scrubbing some noobs now and then though. ;)

Are you planning to create any mods for CnC 3?

Being good at RTS online play is only the amount of time you put in and ofcourse the experience you have in RTS. I bet you'll be good if you play enough! :D

I think what I'll do is add new units and make them open to the public. I'm not sure I'd have the time to do a complete mod.

I always start a game with the campain. and I think the single player campain is the most important thing in a game, especially in a C&C game.

yep mp is where its at only point of dicking around in skirmish is to test builds to see if you run dry on money at any time of your bo or just do funny things like make 5 milion venoms and get 600 apm
