At 7 (and soon to be 8!) months into doing BT Toons, I feel that I've laid a foundation for the comic. I've established several characters, and via feeling my way through as I go different characters have hit different levels of prominence.

What I'm wondering about, in terms of direction, is story.

One of the things that I'd love to do with this thing is to do more plotlines - I experimented with that back when I did the Tornado series of strips, and to a lesser extent with Brian getting beat up over Starcraft.

Now, I'm wondering- as readers, what do you guys like best about the comic? What's the stuff that you think is the worst?

And on another note, I'm going to bring up the Ask GT (http://www.bttournaments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3277) thread I started way back when. Virtually nobody's posted in there - as most of the conversation has taken place in the individual threads, there hasn't been much of a need. But feel free, and I encourage you, to pose questions and concerns about not just individual gags, but even about characters and recurring story elements and such.

I've planted a few seeds for stories that could very easily play out - mainly plot devices and hints here and there (if you look for'em you may see a few).

But as I said, I'm interested in what everyone who reads this thinks so far.

what you should do, is see if you can give ur comic thinger to a comic book store or start a comic company and sell ur BEST comic strips in order. either make a story out of the comic strips u had so far, or use one of them to start a entire "episode", which is like 20-30 pages- which is like 100 some strips. but if you play ur cards right you may make some money, and such.... possiably in the millions... just a suggestion.

Heh. That's right - you STILL don't have a character.

That's something which really SHOULD be rectified - main thing is I need an idea to use you for.

Eg, Mendes is getting a lot of screentime lately because he's easy to use in context of Starcraft. And he'll get more as more SC II news comes out.

Tornado hasn't been seen in a while - there's an in-comic reason for that. Oh yes, there is :). And we'll find out soon ideally.

Kungfuyu works best as a sight gag character, so he gets use regularly, and Sledge has been slipping in comic appearances as of late - I'll have to do something about that. As for HBO, I've simply had few ideas for him - if anyone thinks of gags feel free to post'em in this forum. And I try to avoid using my counterpart simply because I don't want my strips to become "Mary-Sue" stories. (Which is also why I skip over most Transformer-related ideas I get)

As for your 8-panel suggestion, I'm actually mulling something like that - if I do some story related strips, that are less "one-shot jokes" but build on each other to do an overall story arc, I'll probably need to add some panels. I'm thinking either 6-8 right now.

But yeah - one thing I'm interested in knowing is what people think in terms of strip direction. Do you want more story-related (and less game-related) strips, or more game one-shot jokes?

I think a story with characters that have roots on different games would be better than game one-shots, as people coming to the site may have no idea why Apoc coming by with news about CnC3 is funny, or what you mean when you talk about a BFME2 patch.
