Yeah that was one problem I seemed to have with the game. I was showing it to a few people I knew and all the sudden the cussing started... didn't know what to say honestly...

well, in my opinion, i love to swear, even if it is blocked or beeped out, it still quenches my thirst for swearing. hehe

I agree, I think foul language in a video game goes too far. I was playing it with my nephew and he like did you hear that? Only thing I could say was that it was a bad move on there part. More parents might have bought this game and they could have made more money. Who knows.
Swearing is every where and gets really annoying to be around people who have a small vocabulary F this F that you get my drift ;)

Lots of swearing in the game? Pretty rear if I may say so. Also, someone who doesn't play a game because someone swears in it, is just weird. You tell me that you don't watch movies where people swear?

This game sought to be one of the most realistic war games ever made--and you can't have WW2 without swearing at some krauts.
It's rated M for a reason--so it's not meant for anyone under 17 years of age.

Yeah But I still agree... this game would have a much bigger following without it...

Maybe, maybe not.
It's like Soda up there said. People don't usually come out of an R rated Horror movie saying "There was way too much swearing and violence in that."
It would be nice to have no swearing in this game, but I've always been a strong advocate for the idea that if you can't handle foul language, grow a thicker skin... cuz I didn't hear a single thing in CoH that I haven't heard a million times at school.
I'm not a fan of censorship, but that's why the ESRB rating system is around.

What? It's game creators making a realistic WW2 game... the soldiers swore, a lot, it's a fact.
Are you saying that the allied soldiers who fought in WW2 were cowards who you wouldn't look at in the street?

S'all good. Just to clarify, this discussion was about whether or not the swearing units were necessary, or just inappropriate.
its stupid complaining that kids may hear swearing in a game....when the are letting their kids play a M rated games that the goal is to kill the other player......but they still think swearing is wrong....i must be missing something....

I think having an option to turn it off would have been nice... I get irritated hearing people swear...

I don't mind swearing, even if it was just because if I ever left my house I'd be hearing it inevitably around me.
